Tennessee K–6 music standards

Tennessee writes its own music standards. They are published as Tennessee Academic Standards for Fine Arts, adopted 2018 and are not a version of a national framework. 166 of 192 are matched to a national standard.

General Music (GM) K-5 and 6-8, plus Instrumental Music (IM) and Vocal Music (VM) grade 6 — the three families TN files separately and NCAS files as one MU discipline. Music Theory is 9-12 and out of K-6 scope.
